Subject: Economics I (macroeconomics) Form of study: full-time Subjetc´s goals: The goals of all lectures and other forms of education are instantiations of the general objectives of the course which equips students with basic knowledge of modern economic theory in the context of its historical development, explain the principles of the market economy mechanism and its functioning as a single, coherent and internally consistent economic system. Learning outcomes: - skills:
- Mastery of basic economic concepts, laws, principles, relationships and links between economic variables.
- Understanding the basic functions of the market and the laws as a primary mode of coordination of economic activities in current conditions.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of market failure (esp. Public goods) in applications to the defense.
- Perception of microeconomic principles as tools for effective use of limited source of funds.
- Understanding the basic macroeconomic context, with emphasis on the implications of using various instruments of economic policy for the behavior and decisions of individuals.
- Understanding the origin and development of economic theory based on the lining of relevant passages from the history of economic theories.
- abilities:
- Using knowledge of economic theory's ability to critically assess the economic context of current events in the Czech Republic and abroad, the ability to listen to alternative viewpoints and approaches to business issues, the ability to form his/her own opinion and prove to defend it.
- competences:
- Respect for fundamental economic principles in real conditions.
- Preferring the market, respectively, mixed economy with the knowledge of the public sector.
- Proof of economic literacy in professional and personal lives.
Subject continuity: This curse is a precursor for the courses "Public Economy" and "Economics II". Conditions for successful completion of the course: - 2nd semester: 3 partial control tests, final test and final correction test. Course is terminated by a exam (from the entire range - microeconomics and macroeconomics).
