    Subject: Managerial Decision Making
    Form of study: full-time

    Subjetc´s goals:

    The course is focused on clarification of the procedures of analytical and evaluation methods which are applicable for decision making under conditions of certainty, risk and uncertainty. Emphasis is put on understanding the application principles of these methods in military environment and on military problems solving process, further on the commander’s and headquarters’ decision making, identifying a problem, analysis and formulation of the problem, obtaining information, variations development, determining the variant consequences, variant evaluation and their implementation.

    • They are able to discuss the purpose and use of analytical and evaluation methods which are applicable in the different stages of the decision making process.

    • Independent and responsible decision-making in new or changing contexts or in fundamentally evolving environment taking into account the wider social implications of decision-making.

    Subject continuity:

    This course follows up on the course Management.
    This course is followed by courses Analysis of information sources; Public Property Management; Information support for decision making processes; Crisis Management; Security Management; Risk Management; Intelligence support and reconnaissance.

    Conditions for successful completion of the course:
    • Exam – written, individual; team elaboration and presentation of the semester project; individual tackle of the continuous written exams verifying tertiary education
