    TACTICS FOR THE FIELD ARTILLERY (7. and 8. semester)

    Form of study:

    full-time

    Subjetc´s goals:

    Study of the course focuses on the principles of the field artillery use in combat, command and control of artillery units (formations) in operations, and in fire support to troops.

    Learning outcomes:

    • skills:

    The students:

    - solves the problem of performing the tasks of fire support to troops,
    - assesses the ability of the field artillery units and submit proposals for their use,
    - addresses the fundamental calculations in the use of the field artillery units,
    - applies principles of camouflage and protection of troops in command of an artillery unit
    - establishes regulations, measures and orders to meet the fire support tasks,
    - command and controls activities of the field artillery units in operations up to battery level.
    • abilities:

    The students:

    - discusses the artillery mission in combat operations, 
    - describes the principles of fire support planning and  coordination,
    - presents the structure of the decision-making process of the commander, the structure of operation order, and the time processing rules and other calculations,
    - describes the principles of operational planning,
    - explains the combat support and service support to artillery operations,
    - presents the historical development of artillery.
    • competences:

    The graduates in the subject:

    - is able to apply the principles of combat employment of the field artillery units in accordance with the tactical situation and the set tasks and propose its effective use to superiors,
    - is able to command, organize and manage the activities of subordinates in the course of preparation for, and in the combat operations; issue regulations, orders, commands and  reports (returns),
