The course is focused on the presentation and discussion of basic concepts of international public law - international humanitarian law. Law represents a normative framework for performing the tasks of the armed forces and every soldier and civilian employee comes into contact with the law when on duty, or work tasks. Even though law limits us, also it protects us.

International humanitarian law, or international law of armed conflict or international law of war is one of the branches of public international law. In the second half of the 19th century began to form legally binding rules for the waging of war. The aim of the rules was to limit negative impacts that every war meant. Armed conflicts remain a reality of international relations even in the early 21st century.
