Topic:
Subversive activities of state actors
Lecturer:
Introduction to the topic:
The subversive activities of state actors can vary significantly in terms of form and intensity. They represent a certain alternative or supplement to the projection of the state's traditional power tools. States can use a wide range of subversive tools, both of a military and non-military nature. Yet when talking about subversion, military power has a hidden, unacknowledged character and its implementation does not take place in a conventional way. State actors can also use insurgent or terrorist groups, or separatist movements, eventually they can initiate their creation and directly influence or control their actions. There is also a close connection with the so-called hybrid interference, however, it must be emphasized that it is not a new phenomenon.
