Whether you need a gun or not is an opinion. I believe that I need a gun, and, apparently, anti-gun fanatics want to point guns at me in order to get me to give up my guns because they don't think that I need a gun. Of course, anti-gun advocates only want to disarm non-gov't individuals. They would never attempt to disarm the American gov't which is responsible for about one million killings in the Middle East in the last 10+ years. Anti-gun advocates are insane hypocrites.

It is NOT the job of the police to protect you. The SCOTUS has said this more than once. Without the ability to protect ourselves, we are helpless slaves.

Exactly. The reason I chose to add alcohol to your list is because it kills far more people every year in America than guns but no college aged liberal retard would ever consider banning it.

Your right. We don't "need" consumable alcohol. Didn't the U.S. try to ban it already? I think it was called Prohibition. Just look how that turned out.

People which support gun control deserve the same fate as the movie DARFUR portray. They are traitors and the real criminals if they are in Ladership positions.

All you have to know is that government can't even keep drugs out of prisons and they're going to protect citizens from criminals? They may be able to prosecute the criminals AFTER you've decomposed down there, but that's about it.

Agreed! It's too bad that the debate about guns and freedom has been reduced to the "you don't have a NEED for it" argument. Of course, there are a lot of things we don't have a "need" for. Like Internet access, swimming pools, sharp knives, TV's, SUV's, and so on... If it all comes down to banning anything based on it not being "needed" than what's to say the other things I've listed won't get banned for the same reason?

"Guns are bad" Ok, then let's ban them.
"But there are still knives that can kill people" Ok, so let's ban them also.
"Now we can't cut our steak" Ok, so let's make vegetarianism mandatory for all citizens!
"My child died from lack of protien" Ban all pregnancies!
Let's let the government take away all of our rights! :D...
