Course description:

Study of this subject is focused on theoretical understanding and practical guidance for realization phase of the combat unit command and control (C2) system in operation.

Outputs of tertiary education:

Knowledge:

  • explains the principles of the combat units command and control system and the creation of the commanders standing operating procedures during a combat planning and controlling,

  • explains the operation planning and principles of the commanders military decision making process,

  • describes the combat units rules of engagement (ROE),

  • describes the principles of the radio procedure
    remembers processing principles of the planning and reporting documents at the company level,

  • describes the methodology of the commanders and staffs teamwork during a combat planning phase using Information system C2 of Land Forces  applications,

  • presents the principles of the use of the command and control system at the company level,

  • describes the using possibilities of the BVIS,

  • describes the possible medical preventive measures and their impact on combat operations, the planning of a medical support at the battalion level.

Skills:

  • evaluates the tactical situation, processes and transmits information to the superior level,

  • uses communication and information support means at the company level,

  • applies military decision-making process for the platoon and squat control,

  • organizes and conducts platoon in combat in each tactical operations,

  • prepares and processes combat documentation at the platoon level,

  • processes and uses planning and control documents at the platoon level,

  • manages a response to the IED and mine incidents,

  • plans use of combat units in various tactical operations,

  • manages fire support requesting procedure,

  • plans and controls setting up of explosive and non-explosive barriers at the platoon level,

  • manages first aid to injured persons, their extrication from vehicles,

  • manages and controls building of protective structures and camouflaging.

General competencies:

  • plans and manages tactical operations,
  • processes battle order and keeps documentations at the company and platoon level,

  • serves as a unit commander.
